The Sugar Bowl–Challenge 70–Maria Therese’s Sketch

The Sugar Bowl challenge this week has caused most of us Sweeties, a large headache this week….

Clean and Simple????

What’s that????????

LOL!

Still, the theme fits Maria Therese's sketch perfectly

So here is my attempt…..

Gayle70

I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone but, clean and simple always takes ten times longer for me than a ‘normal’ card!

Still, that’s why we call them challenges after all….

We’ve had our fair share of challenges in this house recently and one of the biggest will finally be overcome today (fingers crossed)

AvaDecoratedStookie AvaWalkingStookie

My gorgeous girl has had her leg in a cast for almost two whole months now after fracturing her leg at ballet class (who knew?)

Hopefully the Doctors will give the ‘all clear’ to have it removed today… and I can finally get rid of the wheelchair that’s become our saviour!

However…I DO think she might miss decorating her legs now……lol

As always my Sweeties have done such fabulous work, please stop by their blogs and leave them some love!

Hope everything went as planned with the cast coming off. Love your card with that swirl & the way you've used the patterned paper for various layers. Your colouring with the pencils is quite delightful too & a super match with the papers.

Gorgeous card Mrs P.
Yes, CAS do seem to take so much longer to make, I think because there are so few embellies they have to be placed perfectly.
You nailed this challenge honey.

Love Elaine xxx

Your card is Gorgeous Gayle and what beautiful colours you have used...love it xx
Hope the cast comes off, and the leg gets strong quickly. your little poppet will have to wear long white socks so that she can get people to draw on them to ease the withdrawal...lol might be a good idea anyway this cold weather as her leg may ache with the cold xx

Lovely card Gayle! I like how you have used the striped paper throughout the entire design, pulls it all together really well! Here is crossing my fingers your daughters cast comes off and she doesn't continue to decorate her bare leg!
