It’s been FOREVER since I posted anything here, other than my fortnightly Sugar Bowl card.
So it’s time for a change….
My ‘big’ girl is back to school today, her 1st day in Primary 2 and she is just as about excited as any 5 year old ever could be!
She thinks that makes her one of ‘the big girls’…..I have a sneaking suspicion she might be in for a little bit of a shock!
Here is ‘my girl’ dressed in her uniform on her way back to school….well, here is my depiction of her…you’ll see ‘the real thing’ a little further down the post!
In my title I said ‘back to school, for everyone’ as I have recently started learning to use Prismacolor pencils, and I find them such a joy after my Copic disaster. (Yes, they are still up for sale, see HERE, if you’re interested)
This little schoolgirl is actually my 3rd attempt with the Prismas. The other two are top secret….but, suffice to say you’ll see them here soon!
I’ve watched loads of YouTubes on techniques using Prismas, and am having a ball trying them all out….it’s not perfect yet but, the fun part is the learning, right?
I hope this little bird feels the same at the end of the today……
One things for sure, this is the last time she’ll be seen not covered in mud and yoghurt!

Oh Gayle...your little one is soooooo cute in her school uniform! Just as precious as she can be! My granddaughter, Sophie, just started kindergarten last week...no uniform...but she was so cute in her new school clothes!! Your card is darling, of course, and you are rocking those pencils!!
